MS should get its money back for hiring someone to design this dastardly design deed in MS should get fined by the software industry for coming up with something that is more pitiful than a stable smell.
I want to be able to change theme and colors. The white back ground and the crumby 3 choices is NOT sufficient. Who made this dumb change???? I call BS as well. A Black background and white text are FAR less of a consumer of battery than a complete white screen!
Both of those said and out of the way. What about Accessibility MS?? What about this whole new ONE Microsoft? The majority of the theme in WP8 is Black background and high contrast so you can read in just about ANY light and do so clearly.
And the light blue text too??? C'mon MS Get your stuff together. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect.

Even the Dark Gray one is so insipid, that every time I open a menu, my initial impression is that all of the options have been 'greyed out' and therefore are not selectable until I remember that it's just the bland theme.
Please, Microsoft, either provide an option to customise this to other colours or provide more than three themes - particularly ones that don't give the impression that options haven't been 'greyed out'.

MS had to be "fashionable" and make Office "smartphone friendly" aka dumbed down. The "backgrounds" Gina mentioned control the "graffiti" that is displayed on the right end of the ribbon, obscuring some of the tab labels Yeah, well, it's not perfect but, IMHO, it helps In reply to Gina Whipp's post on November 5, Pathetically poor application writing. I'm in pain!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous theme colors and as I've read in these posts I can't see myself spending 9 hours a day looking at this!!!! I posting here to support the cause. Looks like your customers have complained about this for quite some time. This site in other languages x.
